WHAT IS SECURITY INDUCTION?

It is a technical meeting between the expatriate and one of our Travel Security experts, an essential consultation for the proper implementation of the company's Travel Security Policy prior to departure.
This service, as required by the ISO 31030 Travel Risk Management guidelines, is intended to provide the worker with all the information and training necessary to identify, prevent and mitigate risks to all company assets involved.
The specialized analysis of the information allows a clear picture of the dynamics of the operational area to be drawn, supporting proactive and informed decision making.

MAIN CONTENTS

During Security Induction, preventive behaviors, communication and emergency management protocols are defined, consistent with operational needs. The interview is based on the worker's role and type of activity, examining in detail:

  • the duration of the trip, analysis of the itinerary and local risk profile, including the geographical, operational and sociopolitical context;
  • the specific risks associated with the destination (personal safety, crime, unrest, terrorism, possible extraordinary natural events);
  • the company's travelrisk management procedures and preventive measures to be taken;
  • The behavioral norms to be followed in case of emergency;
  • the procedures for activating Security support in critical situations (e.g., accidents, disturbances, kidnappings);
  • communication channels and company policies on privacy, device use and information sharing.

THE PURPOSE OF SECURITY INDUCTION

Conscious risk management

The purpose is to ensure that every traveler is adequately informed about potential threats, trained and supported to deal with them effectively, with full awareness of the company's procedures on risk management while traveling. Upon completion of the Security Induction, a certificate of briefing delivery will be issued that is valid for corporate compliance purposes and the employer's duty to protect personnel. Proper information and training of traveling personnel is a duty under Legislative Decree 81/08 and ISO 31030.
Therefore , Security Induction is a key tool for fulfilling the corporateDuty of Care .

WHEN AND WHERE TO DO IT

Before departure

To provide the transferee with adequate preparation, it is recommended that the
Security Induction at least two weeks before departure.
For high-risk destinations or in case of imminent changes in the
local environment, it is preferable to schedule it at least 20 days in advance.
In case of an urgent mission, counseling is still useful and can be
conducted remotely even during the trip.
Security Induction can be held at corporate offices or via
video consultation.
