Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for all travellers over 9 months of age arriving from high-risk countries.
A measles vaccination certificate is mandatory for all travellers arriving from Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga and the Philippines. Vaccination must be carried out at least 15 days before entering the country.
Infection typically occurs through contact with the saliva of an infected animal, usually caused by bites, scratches or licks near open wounds or mucous membranes (e.g. mouth, nose, eyes).
